Principal’s Massage

Matugama Ananda Sastralaya which has 70 years of history is a leading popular national school in the Kalutara District. Its future headway, as a secondary school has already been laid out. All necessary infrastructure facilities needed for a secondary school has already been developed.

In 2009 primary section of the school has been established in a separate place. By 2012 a number of primary schools have been affiliated to this school as sustained schools. By 2014, five of these schools will continuously sustain this school.

Whole night pirith chanting ceremony following an alms giving to 80 bikkhus was held as a beginning to the 70^th anniversary programme. The rest of the progamme is to be held within the year 2012. The opening ceremony of the newly built three storied building is to take place in June 2012.
